UK Operations

Field Officers

ILPH Chief Field Officer
Paul Teasdale
Our team of 16 Field Officers have a vital and demanding role to play. Our UK Operations department receives around 30,000 calls every year, a huge proportion of which are from people concerned about horses they have seen.

These calls result in our Field Officers investigating over 1500 welfare concerns a year, sometimes finding themselves in difficult or dangerous situations. They also undertake approximately 600 follow-up visits to make sure these situations are improving for the horses involved.

Along with our Loan Visits Officers, the Field Officers continue to monitor those horses rehomed through our loan scheme. The dedication of our Field Officers ultimately results in around 200 horses and ponies being removed from dangerous circumstances and coming into our care every year.
