A legacy in your Will can give horses a better future
The ILPH is a charity, and gifts in Wills are our lifeblood. In 2005
we received £2.7 million through gifts in Wills. But it costs an
average of £5,000 to rescue and rehabilitate one abused or neglected
horse and we currently have around 2,000 horses in our permanent
care in Britain, so you can see how much we need legacy gifts long
into the future, to ensure that we are still here for every
mistreated horse.
“So much of what ILPH has been able to do has been through the
gifts of our supporters, particularly gifts in Wills. They have
helped the charity go from strength to strength.”
Jane Holderness-Roddam, ILPH Trustee
Leaving a legacy to the ILPH is a long-lasting and important way you
can continue to help our work with horses across the world. Your
legacy could help us reach a horse left abandoned in a muddy, cold
field in Britain and give it a new caring home. Your legacy could
help our campaigning work to improve the welfare of horses across
Europe. Your legacy could help us reach more countries with training
programmes to develop skills needed to care for their horses.
As a mark of our appreciation, the name of every person who leaves
the ILPH a legacy is recorded in our Legacy Book, which is on
display in the foyer of our Visitor Centre, Hall Farm Snetterton,
Norfolk
