A guide to the ILPH's Podcasts

ILPH Campaigns
Both MP3 players & computers can playback ILPH podcasts
What is a Podcast?

Podcasting is a new way of listening to radio shows or other audio, and you do not need an iPod to do it!

You can get a podcast sent to your computer automatically so that you can listen to the show at a time that is most convenient to you.

When you subscribe to a podcast, it will automatically download to your computer whenever a new show or programme is produced, allowing you to decide when and how you choose to listen.

If you own an mp3 player you can put the podcast on your player and listen to it wherever and whenever you like.

How do I receive Podcasts?

In order to subscribe you will need some podcasting software. This will allow you to have our podcasts downloaded automatically to your computer whenever a new show is produced.

Most podcasting software is shareware, which means it is free and available to download from the internet.

If you are an iPod owner, Apple's iTunes software includes a podcast directory, making it easy to subscribe to and download podcasts without additional software.

Here is just a few of the podcasting software sites out there:

RSS Radio - Free to download
iTunes - Apple's Software
Podcast Alley - "The Podcast lovers portal"
Podfeeder - Free online service for searching and sharing podcast feeds
Primetime - Podcast receiver

Adding ILPH Feeds to your site

We are looking to encourage the use of the ILPH feeds on other external sites. You are welcome to add the ILPH feed onto your site, all that we would ask is that the feed is attributed; "Podcast's from the ILPH at www.ilph.org". If you have any questions or queries about this please contact Basil Hayes.
